I know what you mean about leaving the Navy--I'm not sure what I"ll feel like when it's no longer a part of our lives. Now that you're not planning around deployments, let us know when you plan on coming to visit San Diego! =)Erica Krellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18181928330003229834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026779248687212041.post-701955157366826592010-06-10T20:18:25.556-04:002010-06-10T20:18:25.556-04:00I don't even know where to begin....Melis, thi...I don't even know where to begin....Melis, this was an AMAZING post. Each one of your pictures took my breath away- the ND ROTC uniform, the boat going out to sea...those are memories I will forever hold in my own heart as well, and I will never ever forget that feeling of "the last night" before he leaves for sea. However, I cannot begin to imagine doing it as a parent. We were so blessed to only have 5 weeks of underway right after E was born, and then we were done thank God. You are my hero (both of you are!)! I really don't know if I would have the strength to go through those deployments while raising multiple kids. You are amazing. Congratulations on a wonderful job well-done, and all the best to you ALL on your "new life":)
Love,
C:)Christine:)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08122757163158649024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026779248687212041.post-71593597770188332642010-06-03T17:09:50.476-04:002010-06-03T17:09:50.476-04:00This was a beautiful post.

The Navy is losing two huge assets in the two of you, but I know you're time in made it so much better. Justin was a kick-a$$ officer and I know Sean always spoke highly of TN's Golden Boy. ;o) You were a stellar Navy wife and it was refreshing to see a JO's wife with such maturity and poise that sometimes is hard to find in wives/moms "new" to the whole military life. I know both of your experiences have enriched JJA tremendously and your new phase in life will hopefully afford a lot more stability (yay...no more PCSing!!)

I'm so thankful for you both and that the Navy gave us wonderful friends in y'all. I miss you both and the kiddies so much...but am thankful for our time together!!

Love ya!Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09240839878411076815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026779248687212041.post-55188871681445017352010-05-31T13:55:55.047-04:002010-05-31T13:55:55.047-04:00Wow! You'll always be a part of my family, and I yours. Your post was beautifully written and so heartwarming. It's a hard road, no matter how long you are on it for...I just want you to know that I wish your family nothing but the love and happiness you already show! The Navy brought our families together, and we made such great memories...I love that we remain family and I can send you emails or ridiculous magazine clippings about outdoor showers. I am so thankful Justin served, if only because I met you....Love.Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05369514782806938861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026779248687212041.post-375036521973970062010-05-30T17:26:01.871-04:002010-05-30T17:26:01.871-04:00I absolutely love this post, and you, and the fami...I absolutely love this post, and you, and the family. *Sigh*The Huls Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08133153051521922933noreply@blogger.com
