But hers are pretty darned cool, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I mean, the worst I could do would be to end up looking stupid on my own blog.
HAH! Been there, done that... (In fact, looking stupid is kinda my thing.)
So here it is: my first foray into colorizing a photo. This particular one is a bunch of suitcases on a platform at the old train depot in town where we rode on a big steam train for Jack a couple weeks ago. The nifty retro bags looked cool in black and white because of the whole "back in time" idea of riding on a steam train, but I'm a sucker for that warm camel color...
There ya go - CSS entry #1. Feedback is GREATLY appreciated! (And, while you're at it, head to Amy's blog and check out how the more practiced color splashers do it!)

I like that effect! I wish I could do something like that!
Looks really good. I just started using my husbands photoshop and nikon d3000 now that he is off to the Army. He is currently going through Basic and Officer Candidate School.
I look forward to reading more of your blog.

I love the fact that you even thought to take that picture. I am really bad about "seeing" stuff sometimes.
Well heck...that looks great!! I love it. I am a sucker for that warm caramel color too!! You have a great eye.
Ok, I think this is awesome. I still cannot figure out how to do this. Perhaps someday I will, but until then, I will just enjoy seeing the pictures from people who do know how!
